Brad Harrison

Brad is an entrepreneur and seasoned business development executive who is passionate about building companies and pushing the envelope of technological innovation. He is the founder and managing partner of Scout Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm investing at the intersection of National Security and Critical Technology Innovation.
Brad has successfully helped incubate several companies out of the Scout office, including one of Scout’s most successful investments to date, Unite US. Brad has also led multiple investments in ID.me, Voyager Space, and Tomahawk Robotics, recently acquired by AeroVironment (AVAV). Brad has deep experience developing concepts, including coauthoring three patents in search, geo-tagging, and personalization. He has been invited to the White House and Pentagon multiple times to discuss National Security and Defense Innovation.
Brad is a distinguished honor graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an Airborne Ranger in the United States Army for five years before retiring as Captain. He also graduated from MIT Sloan School of Management, where he studied New Product and Venture Development. While attending MIT, Brad was fortunate to work with Endeca Technologies and PureTech Ventures. He is an active leader of the West Point Entrepreneur community, on the Board of the Jewish Chapel at West Point, and an active supporter of Army Rugby (where he played). He lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife Angie, their son, Elvis, their daughter, Scout, and Team Harrison’s trusty Bernedoodle, Ziggy and Aussiedoodle, Gizmo.
